CLIENT: Our front circle drive garden bed is just a big pile of gravel choking out the existing maple and rhododendron trees - embarrassing, It’s the first thing we and out guests see when we arrive at the house.

MERLE: Beautiful private, heavily treed waterfront property. I wanted to create a garden that blended into the natural surrounding woodlands while adding some colour and light. I used shade tolerant planting material that flower as well as bringing in some yellows and brighter shades of green. I love the use of water for a focal point as you approach the home from the long driveway.
